About me

Dear You! My name is Miriam, I used to work as a social worker when I started painting a few years ago. Through my work I often was confronted with problems and crises.
That made me strongly engaged with themes like lightness, optimism, calmness and freedom. To me these are extremely important values to keep an positive worldview. Aside from that awareness is a key to keep a positive mind, awareness to the beautiful and amazing things surrounding us every day. These are themes that I try to capture in my paintings.

When it comes to the aesthetic of my artwork I am strongly inspired by the element of water. Let it be waterdrops catching the sunlight or leaves falling into a little river - it are those little daily things that I find extremly beautiful.
I feel deeply connected to the element of water. This reflects in the colors and patterns of my artwork.

In my free time I enjoy spending time outside in the nature. Also I am loving mother of a wonderful daughter, she ensures my life never to be boring :).
